Tramway Policy
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Please review our refund policy HERE. However, tram tickets unused are valid for future use of the calendar year for which you purchased them.
PETS
We do not allow pets on the Tram unless they are service animals that are task trained. We do provide kennels, at no charge, at the lower terminal of the Tram for our guests to keep their pets. Do keep this in mind if you are planning to hike up the mountain and ride down.
BIKES
Bikes are not allowed on the tram car.
SLEDS
Sledding is prohibited on the mountain and within the ski area. For alternative snow play options, we recommend that our guests explore Capulin Snow Play Area. For additional information, please visit HERE.
ALCOHOL
Alcohol is not allowed on the tramway and open containers of alcohol are not permitted. Please be sure your water bottles are closed and food is in a container.
DRONES
Due to safety and privacy concerns, Sandia Peak Tram Company and Sandia Peak Ski Area prohibit the operation or use on or above the resort property of unmanned aerial systems (UAS), or drones, by the general public – including model aircraft by recreational users and hobbyists – without the prior written authorization from Sandia Peak Tram Company and Sandia Peak Ski Area. The prohibition includes drones used for filming or videotaping, as well as any drone use by media or journalists operating above or within the area boundaries. This prohibition extends to any devices launched or operated from resort property, as well as any launched from private property outside of the resort boundaries. Please contact resort management at 505-242-9052 if you have any questions or if you seek prior authorization to operate any such device. Any authorized operation of drones on or above resort property will be governed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations, local law enforcement, and/or U.S. Forest Service rules, as well as those policies separately established by this resort, which may include certification, training, insurance coverage, indemnification requirements, and waivers or releases of liability. Any violation of this policy may involve suspension of your access privileges to the resort, or the revocation of your season pass, as well as confiscation of any prohibited equipment, and may subject violators to any liability for damages, including but not limited to, damages for trespass, violations of privacy, and physical injuries to persons and/or property as well as legal fees.
