Route 66, known as the Mother Road, has been a popular path for travelers through New Mexico for 100 years. From neon lights and roadside diners to breathtaking desert and mountain views, this memorable highway has helped shape the spirit of adventure in the Southwest.
Today, your journey brings you somewhere just as iconic, the Sandia Peak Tramway, soaring high above Albuquerque and offering one of the most unforgettable views along the historic Route 66 corridor.

Hint hint…. There are five more Route Stops after Stop 1. Two of them are located at the base of the mountain and three of them are located at the peak. All are accessible via foot, wheelchair/stroller! Be sure to check out all businesses on premises to find the stops.
