See What’s Happening This Summer
Keep up with our summer happenings at the Tram and be a part of a season filled with mountain views, community celebrations, and shared excitement. Discover what’s coming up below and how you can be a part of it with us!
Celebrating 60 Years Above It All
The Tram has a rich history in Albuquerque, beginning nearly 60 years ago with a bold vision to connect people to the breathtaking Sandia Mountains. Since 1966, it has carried millions of riders to the summit, creating unforgettable memories along the way. As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we invite you to look back on our journey and celebrate the future with 60% off Tram tickets on Saturday, May 9th and Sunday, May 10th.
Dog Day: A Mother’s Day Celebration
Celebrate Dog Day with us and the humans who love them for a morning of tails, trails, and treats at the Tram on Saturday, May 9 from 9am-11am. Dog moms will receive a special Mother’s Day gift at entry, with complimentary treats for pups (while supplies last).
Route 66 Car Shows at the Tram
Celebrate the Route 66 Centennial of our historic Mother Road with a special series of car shows at the Tram this summer. Start on the ground and admire vintage, custom, and collector vehicles at the base of the Tram, then finish in a Tram car and take your ride upward.
Route 66 Scavenger Hunt
Experience a Route 66-inspired adventure at Sandia Peak, where the journey to the summit includes informational stops that highlight the rich history of the Tram and its connection to the spirit of our Mother Road. From the road below to the skies above, celebrate the theme of exploration that defines New Mexico. Complete your journey and enter a drawing for a chance to win a prize.
