The annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is held for nine days in October. A critical piece of Albuquerque culture, the Balloon Fiesta hosts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year, with hundreds of hot air balloons taking to the sky daily. While Sandia Peak Tramway does not host any part of the festival activities, this is our busiest time of year.

We will revert to our summer hours for this time period, and will be open from 9 am to 9 pm, every day. Additionally, no group rates or discounts are available. We ask that guests come prepared to wait in line with appropriate clothing and water.

Sandiago’s Grill will be open to host guests while they wait for their flight. Our Dine & Skip the Line program will allow guests that purchase a meal at Sandiago’s to avoid the lines and jump up to 4 tram flights ahead. Visit Sandiago’s website for more information and reservations!
